Muzik's Jason Hardy created a POV camera-headphone that captured the attention of the VC world, accumulating over $200M and 80+ celebrity ambassadors. What he needed? A vibrant brand and a content creation app tailored for the device.

how might a content creation ecosystem optimize pov streaming for its smartware device to find a niche amongst a sea of social media giants? how can we house the whole system in a bold brand celebrity endorsers are proud to attach their names to?

the ask

Muzik successfully fundraised millions of dollars and built a high-end smartware device. Ready to release, they needed support building a brand around the movement they were trying to create. This is where we stepped in, hoping to give them the tools needed to reach launch.

my role

I was in charge of brand development for the account and collaborated with CEO Jason Hardy to create the look and feel for the next stages of their company. I also led the wireframing and design for their app ecosystem, resulting in a fully fleshed-out, semifunctional prototype.

the muzik app

The Muzik app was designed to help creators easily capture POV content with just hand gestures or voice commands. That content can then be easily edited, paired with music, and shared to the social platforms of your choosing.

The app's strategy was simple - instead of competing against giants like Instagram and TikTok, we chose to make it extremely easy to produce content for those platforms and share or stream directly to them.

the muzik brand bible

Muzik believed it had created a way for every experience to be shared without taking out your phone, to empower people to have real life connections. For their movement to gain traction, it needed a narrative and identity that connected its ties to culture, technology, and art. The Muzik Brand Bible was designed to be the standard-bearer for that identity.
